A grade Peach Gum Tea!

Peach gum comes in many different grades, ranging from C to AAA. This particular version we've gone with A to keep the price down and make more accessible, along with there not being too much difference between A and AAA.

An extremely well known medicinal gum in China that is found in desserts, skincare, and taken as a tea once strained in water overnight. This gum is not to be taken right away after steeping for 3 mins and steeping overnight is a must! It will become an edible jelly.

Peach Gum is rich in collagen and contains galactose, rhamnose, and amino acids.

Traditionally consumed for skin health, bone health and cardiovascular health.

Brewing

Soak 30 grams of peach gum in water for at least 8 hours, or overnight, until it expands and softens.

Boil the peach gum with 1.5 liters of water and 30 grams of rock sugar (optional) for about 10 minutes, stirring until the sugar dissolves.

Add a handful of goji berries (optional) for the last 5 minutes. The mixture should have a slightly thick, syrupy texture.

Let it cool down a bit, then serve warm, or chill it in the refrigerator for a refreshing drink. Optionally, add a slice of lemon or a few pandan leaves for added flavor.

But What is Peach Gum?
The natural resin found on the bark of wild peach trees (Prunus persica) is prized in East Asia as a delicacy and brewed as a tea or dessert ingredient.

Is it caffeinated?
Yes - peach gum has no caffeine.

Are there added flavours or sugars?
No, it is just the hardened resin from peach trees. Check the ingredients list for confirmation.

Does it get reheated?
It can be reheated gently once it is prepared and softened. For a pre-brewed version, refrigerate immediately and consume within 24 hours.

How do I store it, and how long does it keep?
Store airtight, dry, away from light and moisture in an airtight container. Dried peach gum pieces last years if stored properly.

How much is shipping?

Couriers Please Shipping is $5.95 for orders under $60 and free for all orders over $60.

Australia Post is always at cost. Orders going to Po Box or Parcel Locker address may be locked in to Australia Post.

What are your transit times?

We dispatch within 24-48 hours (sometimes much faster) and from there we'll see 1-3 days transit to most metro locations within Australia excluding WA and NT which can take a week or so.

We also offer express post which will help speed up the process, at cost with no handling fees. These are always sent as priority and packed first.

We're quite generous with our loyalty programs, and the best way to take advantage of them is to create an account here. Also if you subscribe to our newsletter you'll gain access to members only discounts, rewards and an initial 10% off first order.

Are your teas certified organic?

Up until recently we were certified organic but due to rising administration costs and the difficulty of maintaining certification we've put this on hold for now. Our suppliers and farms remain the same without any change but just now label things are organic, pesticide free or wildcrafted.

This also allows us to maintain our current pricing without any increases which we feel is more important at this time.
