Milk Thistle Seed (Silybum Marianum) has no equal in being able to protect the liver, quite literally. There is no pharmaceutical equivalent and is the only treatment for certain liver poisoning cases. Great at detoxifying synthetic chemicals and the regrowth of liver cells.

Brewing

Crush the milk thistle seeds with a mortar and pestle.Place the fresh sliced ginger (optional) and water in a large pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and allow the water to simmer for the next 10 minutes.
Once done simmering (the water will turn a pale yellow color), place the milk thistle seeds and cooked fresh ginger in the strainer of a teapot, and pour the hot water over.

Allow tea to brew for the next 5 minutes and then divide between mugs.
