The world's best-known scented black tea is Earl Grey: A solid malty base with bergamot essential oil - a Mediterranean Citrus whose perfume is somewhere between lemon, lime and light florals.

But the magic is in balance: Just enough bergamot to make it bright and aromatic without drowning the tea. Good blends start with a clean, medium-bodied leaf (often Chinese or Ceylon styles) that carries citrus well and finishes crisp rather than bitter.

Blue cornflower petals or a dash of vanilla are sometimes added for effect; Others go sharp and fast for a breakfast-style cup. The liquor pours copper-amber with a bright, refreshing nose if brewed well. think zesty orange blossom and honey over gentle malt.

It is also versatile: good plain, elegant with a squeeze of lemon and comforting with a splash of milk. Iced, it makes a light, aromatic cooler and is a good base for London Fog style tea lattes. 2-3 g/1 level tsp per 250 mL.

Re-steep: 1-2 times; add ~45-60 sec

Gongfu style (gaiwan/teapot)

7 to 10 g per 100-120 ml.

The first infusion should be 10-15 sec; expand slowly for 4-6 rounds.

Iced / cold brew

5-8 g/L cold filtered water.

Refrigerate 6-8 hrs; strain. Double brew for a London Fog - top with steamed milk & vanilla.

How much is shipping?

Couriers Please Shipping is $5.95 for orders under $60 and free for all orders over $60.

Australia Post is always at cost. Orders going to Po Box or Parcel Locker address may be locked in to Australia Post.

What are your transit times?

We dispatch within 24-48 hours (sometimes much faster) and from there we'll see 1-3 days transit to most metro locations within Australia excluding WA and NT which can take a week or so.

We also offer express post which will help speed up the process, at cost with no handling fees. These are always sent as priority and packed first.

Are your teas certified organic?

Up until recently we were certified organic but due to rising administration costs and the difficulty of maintaining certification we've put this on hold for now. Our suppliers and farms remain the same without any change but just now label things are organic, pesticide free or wildcrafted.

This also allows us to maintain our current pricing without any increases which we feel is more important at this time.
