Cultivated in the mountainous regions of Vietnam, Dragon Claw Tea has a full-bodied flavour that is pleasant and reassuring: more of a malty sweet and earthy brew, which is as healthy as it tastes and has a lot of background history attached to it.

Brewing Dragon Claw Tea is not difficult; nonetheless, it has to be done correctly in order to fully capitalize on its properties and taste:

Water temperature: Bring water to a temperature of approximately 80°C so that the tea can be submerged without being scalding hot.

Steeping time: Steep 1-2 teaspoons of dried dragon claw tea leaves in 10 ounces of water for about 5 to 7 minutes. You may adjust the time according to how strong you like your tea.

Additions: Although the tea is usually quite smooth, a few drops of honey or ginger would help heat it up or even lemon for a soothing citrus flavor.

Drink it as hot: Takes a hot sip to fully taste the deep, earthy richness of the tea. It is often taken for relaxation or after meals as a mild antacid.

The tightly rolled spring buds of the poplar tree (Populus tomentosa), sometimes called "dragon claws" because they resemble claws, are used in this herbal infusion.

Is it caffeinated?
Nope - it's a herbal infusion and caffeine-free.

Are there added flavours or sugars?
But no, it contains only pure poplar buds - no flavors, colors, or sweeteners added.

Does it get reheated?
YES - reheat gently if pre-brewed; avoid boiling. It is also good when chilled. Unless refrigerated, consume within 24 hours.

How do I store it, and how long does it keep?
Place the dried fruit in a sealed, airtight container in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Best consumed within 18-24 months for maximum aroma and flavour.

How much is shipping?

Couriers Please Shipping is $5.95 for orders under $60 and free for all orders over $60.

Australia Post is always at cost. Orders going to Po Box or Parcel Locker address may be locked in to Australia Post.

What are your transit times?

We dispatch within 24-48 hours (sometimes much faster) and from there we'll see 1-3 days transit to most metro locations within Australia excluding WA and NT which can take a week or so.

We also offer express post which will help speed up the process, at cost with no handling fees. These are always sent as priority and packed first.

Are your teas certified organic?

Up until recently we were certified organic but due to rising administration costs and the difficulty of maintaining certification we've put this on hold for now. Our suppliers and farms remain the same without any change but just now label things are organic, pesticide free or wildcrafted.

This also allows us to maintain our current pricing without any increases which we feel is more important at this time.
